Timothy Lally Design seeks to work closely with the client to design and bring to fruition, innovative outdoor spaces that connect the client with nature. Timothy Lally Design has a holistic approach to landscape design, connecting client, architecture, and site. The garden is an extension of the home and the homeowner’s dreams, a vibrant living space ever changing throughout the seasons and throughout the years. The landscape design journey should be fun and exciting, filled with delights and surprises.

While each project is unique, tailored to the personality of the homeowner and the site, our work tends toward clean lines and simple patterns, characteristic of modern design. Our designs adhere to the dominant sensibilities of classical design: strong axes, form, proportion, line, color, texture, and movement.

Experience
Timothy Lally received a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from Iowa State University and is a registered Landscape Architect in Illinois. After locating to Chicago, Timothy received his work experience at both a top architectural design office and a top landscape design build office. For over 15 years, Timothy Lally has been designing and supervising the installation of landscapes for clients in the Chicago area.
In 2002, Timothy Lally Design was formed to concentrate primarily on the design of discerning residential landscapes. His projects range from small city gardens, to rooftop gardens, to larger gardens on the North Shore. Timothy Lally has worked on projects throughout the Chicago area as well as in Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, San Francisco, Ireland, and the Washington, D.C. area.
